BH at night!

A algum tempo estava querendo fotografar minha bela Belo Horizonte a noite registrando os mais belos pontos da cidade.
Comecei na noite passada com a Praça do Papa, um dos cartões postais de BH.
O nome real desta praça é Praça Israel Pinheiro, porém, em 1980, quando o papa João Paulo II esteve na capital mineira, foi montado ali um palanque para que a Santidade abençoasse a cidade. Desde então o local ficou conhecido como Praça do Papa.
Situa-se próxima à base da Serra do Curral, a mais de 1100m de altitude sendo este um dos pontos mais altos da cidade, de onde se pode ter uma visão privilegiada não só de Belo Horizonte como de boa parte das cidade que compoem a grande BH.
Enfim, um belíssimo lugar para se conhecer seja de dia ou a noite…

For sometime I was wishing to photograph my wonderful city, Belo Horizonte, at night, registering the most beautiful points in the city. Last night I started that with the Pope’s Square, one of the postal cards of BH.

The real name of this square it’s Israel Pinheiro Square, however, in 1980, when the Pope João Pablo II was in the capital of the Minas Gerais state, one stage was mounted there so that the Sanctity blessed the city. Since then, this place was known as Pope’s Square. It is placed next to the base of the “Serra do Curral” (Curral Montain), more than 1100m of altitude, being this one of the highest places in the city, from where you can not only have a privileged vision of Belo Horizonte as of the good part of the cities that is part the metropolitan area of BH.

A worderfull place to know either by day or night…
